Fingers are crossed that this time our preparations to start staging shows will not be in vain, therefore we need you (or someone you know perhaps!)...

As we all thrilled to see more and more positive news hitting the headlines, and particularly for us in the theatrical world, to see show opening dates and tickets back on sale for theatrical events up and down the country, we want to be well ahead of the curve, and are now getting firm plans in place to stage our 2021 autumn winter shows of "WE WILL ROCK YOU", "ASSASSINS", & "ELF - THE MUSICAL."

Before the pandemic hit, and in fact during, we had already made some headway on securing some amazingly talented people to head-up our creative teams on these projects, but we still have some positions to fill...


WE WILL ROCK YOU

Halifax Amateurs’ Theatre Youth (HATY) are now accepting Expressions of Interest for PRODUCTION TEAM (DIRECTOR, CHOREOGRAPHER & MUSICAL DIRECTOR) for WE WILL ROCK YOU, (Young@Part), to be performed at The Halifax Playhouse in October 2021.

The Production Team will form part of the casting committee to bring together a group of up to 35 young people aged 8 to 18, and you should hold or be prepared to undertake DBS checks as a minimum for our Safeguarding Policy.

Auditions for the show will be in May with rehearsals starting early June. Sessions will be held on Wednesday and Friday evenings (6-9pm) and Sundays (Times tbc).

A small fee is available for each of the above roles to assist with travel expenses, with an additional budget for the Musical Director to bring in a band for show week and pianists for some rehearsals if required.

ELF - THE MUSICAL

HAOS Productions are extremely excited to be performing Elf the Musical at the Halifax Playhouse this winter, 30th November to 4th December 2021

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for both a Musical Director and a Choreographer for this production who can work alongside our brilliant Director, Sam Milnes, to help bring the magic of Christmas to Halifax!

If you feel you could approach this project with an open mind, an enthusiastic attitude and plenty of Christmas cheer we would love to hear from you.

Auditions for the show are likely to be in late June or July with rehearsals starting some time after in order to cater for possible affected attendance over the summer holiday period. Although some flexibility may be employed, rehearsals will be held primarily on Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays.  A small fee is available for each of the above roles to assist with travel expenses.

This show is licensed to be performed by adults (16+) with the inclusion of a small number of junior performers, details of which are to follow.
