After the successful transformation of our rooms into a real intimate fringe performance space during ASSASSINS in November last year, we knew we would inspire others to want to do it again, and HATY under the masterful inspiration and creative mind of Kayleigh Smith did just that last week with their production of Matilda Jr.

The almost instant sell-out run of 7 performances (featuring a 3 show final day!!) showcased some of the society's very best and enormously talented revolting children, to a room full of astonished audience members at every show. We are sure the cast enjoyed the held "Matilda pose" bow at the end that featured a seemingly endless and rapturous audience response - testament to the true professional quality of this production. This was no "fundraiser in the rooms" - it was a slick, polished and superbly delivered piece of real theatre made possible by the vision and hard work of Kayleigh, Louise and Lorna.

The HATY management team would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the production team, cast, crew, supporters and equally parents and spectators. However, they also feel a special mention could be made to all the HATY members that stepped up into production support by taking on some wider roles, such as, but not limited to: Ethan for creating the programme, Fizz for their huge support with the fit-up (they are not just the tea-maker!) and a number of other youngsters who came to be involved with set dressing, set painting, blackboard chalking, recording and filming. The talent shown and dedication to HATY and the society does not go unnoticed. Well done all.
