Please read here a message circulated by our Chairman...
I wanted to reach out to you personally about what we are doing at HAOS & HATY to support you and your children, as the world comes to terms with an unprecedented health risk in COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Whilst these are exceptionally challenging times for all industries including the Performing Arts sector, you can continue to put your trust in us, not only to continue operating whenever possible, but to do so safely and responsibly.
Rehearsals, Functions & Events
At the moment all scheduled use of the rooms and events are continuing as planned, in accordance with Government guidance and advice. We will keep all Friends of HAOS & HATY updated if this changes.
Safety & hygiene
As always, the safety of our members and their friends & family remains our highest priority. We take great pride in maintaining a good level of cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities and in response to the coronavirus, we have focused our cleaning and hygiene protocols:
We have increased our focus on sanitising all high contact areas when possible, including door handles, taps, and bar/kitchen surfaces
We are attempting to ensure a well maintained supply of sanitising soap in our Kitchen/Bar/WC areas for hand-washing purposes.
We are studying closely any official announcements from the World Health Organisation (WHO) to ensure all receive ongoing reminders and are following robust COVID-19 protocols
We are releasing this short guide below to our facility users to further enhance a robust approach towards the stemming of further spread of any germs/virus.
What we ask of you
Please do not attend the Wellington Rooms or any of our events if you have recently returned from one of the affected areas as indicated on the UK government website.
Similarly do not attend the rooms if you have any symptoms that could be an indication of Coronavirus and contact 111 and follow their advice.
If you have been tested as positive with the virus or know you have come into contact with anyone who has, do not attend the Wellington Rooms.
Also please follow the World Health Organisation’s standard infection control measures, which are:
frequently cleaning hands by using soap and water or alternatively an alcohol-based hand rub
when coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – throw tissue away immediately and wash your hands thoroughly.
avoid close contact with anyone who has fever and cough.
if you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing seek medical care early and share previous travel history with your health care provider.
If you have any concerns about Coronavirus, or if there is anything you would like us to add to our protocols/guidance please email chairman@haosproductions.com
I fully understand the hesitation people may feel at the moment when deciding whether to attend rehearsals/events or not. But you can feel secure in the knowledge that we are taking all precaution as far as is reasonably practicable to protect your health and provide you with the reassurance that we will act in your best interests.
Sincerely, Paul M. Addy
HAOS Productions Chairman
