Overview of Role/Notes
Gabe is not a living character in the traditional sense—he died as a baby at 18 months old. In the musical, he exists as a hallucination and symbolic presence, born from Diana’s bipolar disorder and unresolved grief. By the end of the show, we learn that Gabe’s memory also lingers in Dan’s mind, despite his efforts to suppress it. Gabe blurs the line between reality and delusion, making this one of the most complex and interpretive roles in the show.
